Sub: Visit of NAAC Peer Team

A peer team of eminent academics from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) will be visiting the University from 8 September to 11 September 2008.

NAAC is an autonomous organization established in 1994 by the University Grants Commission with headquarters in Bangalore.

The visit is in response to the University’s application for re-accreditation. It is designed to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the institution, assist the University in quality assurance and validate the Self-Study Report submitted by the University for Re-accreditation. It is not an inspection, nor aimed at redressing grievances.

The team is expected to visit all sub-units of the University (Departments, Schools, Centres, Administrative Sections, Computer Centres, Laboratories, Instrumentation Centre, Libraries, Hostels, Guest House, Health Centre, Canteens, Gymnasiums, Clubs etc.), and meet members of the Executive Council, alumni, parents, researchers and students.

Heads of all sub-units are requested to notify members and prepare for the visit. A detailed schedule will be circulated in due course.
