Courses Offered

JU offers Graduation and Masters Degrees in 12 disciplines in the Faculty of Arts, 6 in Science, 17 in Engineering & Technology. In addition to these basic, regular courses, JU has a number of schools and centres of advanced studies providing post-graduates, doctoral and post-doctoral level research programmes in 36 new and emerging disciplines. It is also offering 16 special programmes for scientific/technical studies. JU has the distinction of having the largerst intake of under graduates in India, in its two intergrated campuses in the Engineering and Technology disciplines.

JU's continual upgradation process has seen the introduction of several new disciplines over the last few years in line with the rapidly changing scientific & industrial scenario.

The notable additions include, M.Tech. in Software Engineering and Computer Technology, Masters in Multimedia Development, M.E. in Control System Engineering, M.Tech. in Materails Engineering.

The courses in the process of implementation are M.E. in Automobile Engineering, M.Techj. in Water Resources Engineering, M.Sc. in Electronic Media Studies, B.Sc. in Computer Science. And furthermore, looking ahead in the future, JU is considering the following courses for approval - M.Tech in Courseware Engineering, P.G. Diploma in Bioinformatics and also in Theatre Studies & B.Ed. (Special Edition).

JU is also planning to introduce courses through MultiModal Digital Distance Education.
