LECTURER :

Water Resource Engineering – One Post (Contractual)

Qualifications :

Essential :

(i)                  Master’s degree with specialization in Water Resources & Hydraulic Engineering / Technology.

(ii)                Good academic record with Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / Technology. First Class at Bachelor’s degree and / or Master’s degree level.

(iii)               One year’s relevant professional experience outside academic / research institutions.

Provided further that if a candidate does not poses professional experience or a person possessing such experience is not found suitable, the person appointed will be required to obtain desired professional experience within a period of eight years of his appointment failing which he will not be able to earn future increments, until he fulfills this requirements.

Wherever candidates with M.E. / M.Tech. Qualifications are not available or M.E. / M.Tech. candidates are not found suitable for appointment, the essential qualifications, may be relaxed and the institutions may appoint First Class engineering Graduates against the post of Lecturer. Such relaxation will, however be subject to the condition that the candidates concerned shall have to obtain the M.E. / M.Tech. Degree within the stipulated period of five (05) years shall not be entitled for drawing their increments due unless they acqui9red the prescribed qualification.

Desirable :

(i)                  Ph.D. in the field of Water Resources & Hydraulic Engineering.

(ii)                Research / Teaching experience in Hydrological Modelling / Hydraulic Engineering.

Duration :

Initially for one year likely to be extended as per requirement

Scale of Pay :

Rs.17,000/- (Consolidated) per month
