43.  T.K. Ghoshal and his team comprising of A.K.Roy (Retired) S.K. Goswami, K. Datta, G. Das have received the Academy Excellence Award for 1998 for designing and mechanising an innovative, robust, flexible and simple to implement guidance scheme for India's first surface-to-surface Missile System PRITHVI leading to pin-pointed terminal accuracy and for the invaluable leadership and guidance system level design and optimization for 3^rd generation Anti Tank Missile  NAG, its implementation and flight validation, from DRDO, Ministry of Defence on 6^th August 1999.

44.  T.K. Ghoshal received System Gold Medal presented by Systems Society of India on 11^th December 1998 at REC, Calicut.

45.  S. Sadhu has received the Sir Thomas Ward Memorial Medal for 1997-98 from IE(I) in the 13^th Indian Engineering Congress, 1999.
