FACULTY OF ARTS----Physical Education

Jadavpur University initially started the B. Ed. course (Physical Education) through Jadavpur Vidyapith College of Education in order to prepare trained teachers of Physical Education for Secondary schools of W. Bengal. Thereafter in 1990, the university took over the course and started a full-fledged Department in the year 1990. In 1994 the university started offering P.G. course, leading M.A. (Phy Ed.), initially for the professionals working in the field of Physical Education and sports.
